"Kings Bromley Historians are a group of like
minded people researching local history"
Who we are
We are a group of amateur researchers interested in both the local history and family history associated with Kings Bromley. The group was formed in 1979 and immediately started to collect information and material connected with the village. We have done this continuously since our formation and to this date are still finding new information as we explore different aspects of life in and relating to Kings Bromley.
We meet monthly, generally on the last Friday of the month, and our meetings take the form of a talk either by a visiting speaker or by one of our members. One or two visits to places of interest are usually made each year.
One of our objectives is to make the information we have collected available to the general public, and to this end we have held a number of exhibitions and have produced several publications and are continuing to do so. Sometimes old documents that we acquire are transcribed so that they are readable by a wider audience.
Throughout our existence we have had good contact with the County Record Office and on a number of occasions have helped them to acquire documents and other material connected with Kings Bromley.
